Hello friends !!! Happy April !!! The sun is most definitely shining and I couldn't be more grateful. This morning I woke up around 6am, journaled and drank my coffee in bed, went for a longggg sunrise walk, got my favorite latte, and walked to school! You have the power to cultivate the life you were destined to live and find the joy in the most mundane things.

I've been thinking a lot recently about what it means to live in alignment with your highest self, the best version of yourself, the human God intended you to be.
We were each born with a unique set of gifts and our purpose in life is to use them for the good of the world. As college is coming to an end and field hockey is behind me, I have been thinking a lot about my identity. I have come to realize that as humans, we serve as vessels through which God carries out His presence in our lives. I am light and love.
When you start living in alignment with your identity of light and love, the world gets so much brighter. You start appreciating every single little thing of each and every day. Begin to shift your mindset away from what you think you should be doing and start embracing who you really are.
Sometimes you have to lose yourself in order to find your highest self again. There is purpose in your pain. There is meaning in your suffering. I have come to realize that I struggle the most with my mental and spiritual health when I am trying so hard to fit in with the world. Now I come back to this mantra: "You were born an original, don't die a copy"

Presence is a huge part of living life in alignment. Being present is a conscious choice. As someone that struggles with intense anxiety, being present can feel really hard when I am not living my life intentionally. In our society, we are so busy planning our days, weeks, months, and years that we disregard divine timing and try to take control of our own lives. However, only God knows how everything is going to work out so we have to stop trying so hard to control and start learning how to simply be human -- to love, serve, heal, feel, and experience life.
On Monday I decided to challenge myself and didn't plan a single thing for the whole day. I decided to be intuitive and trust that God will help me make the right decisions for me! Some days you won't be able to do this, but finding time to incorporate days with nothing planned is a great way to practice being present and making decisions that serve YOU. Remind yourself that you don't owe any explanation for doing what is best for you.
Here are some things that have made me feel God's presence recently:
Feeling the sun on my skin.
All of the trees and flowers blooming.
Going for long walks.
Taking a warm shower and getting cozy in my robe.
Reading and writing.
Making a mocktail and sitting on the porch.
Laughing with friends.
Calling my mom.
Making silly tik toks.
Buying myself flowers.
Making my room a clean space.

When you start to make it a priority to see God in everything and everyone, life gets so much brighter!!!!! DON'T SHRINK YOURSELF FOR ANYTHING OR ANYONE. You are enough just as you are.
